In Costa Rica, sunscreen was taxed as cosmetics: 13%. And working under the sun causes 1 in 3 skin cancer deaths. So, being the number 1 delivery in the country was contributing to that problem. That's why we made a sunscreen sachet freely distributed for the riders. Every order via the KFC App was invited to sign a petition to change tax on sunscreen. The new taxation was approved by the congress and now sunscreen costs less than our chicken.
